Data Logging - PDL
The Trident SMART Logger is a standalone environmental data logger that can be attached to any pipeline pig (currently from 6” upwards). The unit can provide a fast and precise evaluation of pipeline conditions.
An array of sensors measure and record temperature profiles, detect and locate restrictions and deposits: monitor pig behaviour; assess cleaning progress and effectiveness and verify pipeline conditions.

Sensor Configuration
Trident SMART Loggers can be setup with the following sensors:
- Accelerometer: Measure shock loading on three axis
- Tilt: Gravity referenced accelerometer to measure tilt angle of the pig
- Temperature: Measure the temperature of the pipeline
- Line Pressure: Measure the drive pressure on the rear of the pig
- DP Pressure: Measure the differential pressure across the pig
- Distance Measurement: Time-based
- Gauge Plate Status: Damaged / Undamaged (Timestamp)
PigView Analyst Software
Upon recovery of the pig, logged data is downloaded from the on-board solid-state drive. The data file is then loaded into the Trident PigView Analyst software package which will allow the user to view recorded data and make assessments of the pipeline conditions.
Each pipeline section (12m spools) and bends can be clearly identified
